Young Leaders
Program Mission
The Young Leaders program empowers teens to grow in leadership development, deepen their faith, and strengthen outdoor skills—so they can serve campers with confidence and lead like Jesus in every corner of camp.
Program Goals
-
Build Leadership Skills
Purpose: Teens will grow in confidence, responsibility, and teamwork through real leadership opportunities—learning to lead like Jesus by serving others with love and humility.
Application: Lead a camp game, lead grace before a meal, and help plan and run daily activities.
-
Deepen Their Faith
Purpose: With the support of dedicated mentors, teens will deepen their relationship with God, learn more about their identity in Christ, and grow confident in sharing their faith.
Application: Participate in daily Bible studies and guided discussions, and co-lead a Bible study session with a counselor.
-
Grow in Outdoor Skills
Purpose: Teens will build outdoor skills and confidence they can carry beyond camp—learning how to steward well the Earth God has given us and share their knowledge with others.
Application: Practice and help teach fire building, shelter making, orienteering, basic first aid, Leave No Trace, knot tying, outdoor cooking, and navigation.
